Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data The Planet List collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. Last updated: 16/10/2026.
What we collect
When you place a bid we collect the information you enter: the listing target (URL, product link or social handle), display name, description, country, bid amount and the ownership confirmation you tick before paying.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or bank details on our servers. Stripe shares the payment status, charge amount, billing country and a payment identifier with us so we can confirm and fulfill your bid.
We also collect a hashed IP address and browser identifier to count unique visitors and clicks, to show live activity on the board, and to detect abuse. This is not tied to your name or email unless you explicitly provide one.
How we use the data
- To display your public listing and rank on the leaderboard.
- To process payment and secure your rank after a successful charge.
- To show aggregate stats such as visitors online, total visitors and click counts.
- To send rank-change notifications if you opt in with an email address.
- To prevent abuse, spam and invalid entries.
Who operates this site
The Planet List is operated by Black Goat Capital AB. You can reach us at info@blackgoatcapital.com.
Public listings are permanent
The Planet List is designed as a public, permanent record. Once a listing is published it becomes part of the board and is not removed simply because it moves down in rank. If you believe a listing violates the rules or infringes your rights, see the reclaim process in the rules.
Cookies and storage
We use a small first-party cookie or localStorage entry to keep your session and authentication state with our backend provider. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.
Third-party services
We use Stripe for payments, Supabase for our database and backend, and Google's public favicon service to show website icons in the bid form. These providers process data under their own terms and security practices.
Metadata fetching
When you enter a website URL during bidding we may fetch its public HTML to suggest a title and description. We do not log in, submit forms, or access non-public pages.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data that is not part of a published listing (for example contact details or notification preferences). Because published bids are a public record, listings themselves are not deleted on request; see the reclaim rules for ownership disputes.
To make a request, contact Black Goat Capital AB at info@blackgoatcapital.com.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The latest version will always be available at this page.
